The Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce recently named a new board of directors. Mike Putz, HarneTech LLC was elected president of the board for 2010 at the Annual Members Luncheon.

Putz replaces Robert Koren, Northwest Community Hospital, who served as president of the board in 2009 and will now serve as Immediate Past President.

In addition to Koren and Putz, other officers elected to the board include, Richard Sassen, CPA, B & E Accounting president-elect; Stacia Skinner, Creative Training Solutions, vice president and Andrew Devery, A.J. Devery CPA, treasurer .

New members elected to two–year terms were Rafi Sahakian, Stay Fit Food Market; Marty Bank, Integrity Payroll Solutions, and Susan Dozier, American Chartered Bank. Additionally, Michael Davey, Mt. Prospect Child Care and Leah Richter, Richterworks were elected to a second two-year term.  Dawn Fletcher Collins, Junior Womans Club and John Eilering, Mount Prospect State Bank were named as special presidential appointees and Associate Directors.

Members continuing to serve on the board for a third term include; Mitch Roston, Roscor and Cliff Higley, U Keep Us In Stiches. Also serving is Marcin Bos, MB Financial Bank; Rick Bowman, Ravenswood Bank, and Fred Broviak, Broviak Communications.

Associate Directors continuing to serve are Sharon Anderson, Mt. Prospect Park District; Michael Field, Dist. 214 Community Education;  Marilyn Genther, Mount Prospect Public Library;; Michael Janonis, Village of Mount Prospect; Ted Kasch, Illinois Education and Training center; and Vance Violante, River Trails Park District.

The Mount Prospect Chamber Board of Directors sets the agenda for the association of member businesses. Founded in 1928, its mission is to advance and promote the local business community through the delivery of quality services, effective communication and through the establishment of partnerships with individuals, community organizations, fellow chamber members and governmental bodies.
