The Mount
Prospect Chamber of Commerce is the independent association of area businesses
devoted to promoting free enterprise, as well as fostering the growth and
development of the community. This week Friday, Sept. 18, there will be an
orientation for all member businesses at the chamber offices beginning at
8:30 a.m.
This is an opportunity to learn more
about chamber programs and discounts. Please RSVP at 847-398-6616.
The Chamber
strives to educate the general public and Chamber members on the importance of
business and the maintenance of a favorable climate in which business can
flourish. The Chamber believes a healthy economic environment is vital to the
Village, allowing successful businesses to contribute financially to civic
development.
Keeping the
lines of communication open between business and the community is an important
function of the Chamber. For this purpose, the Chamber sponsors public
candidate forums and special programs designed to address timely issues and
controversial topics. It also generates literature in the form of a monthly
electronic newsletter and an annual Community Guide and Directory for use by
the membership and for a wide

readership.
Mount
Prospect
is a
neighborhood built on a base of entrepreneurship, and many of the
businesspeople who work here are also residents. Through the Chamber, business
is able to participate in an organized effort to give service and resources
back to the community that supports it, making Mount Prospect a better place to
live and do business.
