Chicago 75 Years of Progress was an immensely successful event, bringing together many guests to Chicago to enjoy America’s Best Companies sponsored activities.
The August 13 event was held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair and brought together some of the most influential organizational leaders, politicians, and small business activists in the Chicago area. This event was very historic in that it was held in the Owner’s Club at the newly built One Museum Park building in the South Loop, which overlooks the site of the event held in 1933.
Those joining us at the event heard a stirring speech of support from Season One Apprentice winner Bill Rancic, explaining why his experience working for a large corporation led him to become a champion for small business.
In addition to Rancic’s speech, Jim Tracy, president of America’s Best Companies spoke of his aspirations for small business and keeping the American Dream alive and how if we all rally together, we can make a huge difference.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to the sounds of Martini Manifesto, a Chicago-based jazz group, as well as wide array of delicious food catered by Cuisine America and an open bar. The signature drink of the night was called the "World's Fair". Here is the recipe:
1 part 360 Vodka (The world's first eco-friendly premium spirit), 3 parts pink lemonade, 1 part fruit punch, and garnished with a tangerine wedge. It was quite tasty! The night wrapped up with a fantastic view of the fireworks display at Navy Pier.
It was a positive experience for all in attendance and America's Best Companies looks forward to hosting more exciting events in the future.
