Mount Prospect—The Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce recently named a new board of directors. Robert Koren, Northwest Community Hospital was elected president of the board for 2009 at the Annual Members Luncheon.

Koren replaces Cliff Higley, U Keep Us in Stitches, who served as president of the board in 2008 and will now serve as Immediate Past President.

In addition to Koren and Higley, other officers elected to the board include, Michael Putz, Harnetech, president-elect and Andrew Devery, A.J. Devery CPA, treasurer .

New members elected to two–year terms were Marcin Bos, MB Bank, Rick Bowman , Ravenswood Bank and Richard Sassan, B&E Accounting. Additionally, Fred Broviak, Broviak Communications was elected to his third two-year term.

Members continuing to serve on the board include Michael Davey, Mount Prospect Child Care; Leah Richter, Richterworks Web & Graphic Design; Mitch Roston, Roscor ; Stacia Skinner, Creative Training Solutions; and David Strahl, A, T & T.

Associate Directors continuing to serve are Sharon Anderson, Mt. Prospect Park District; Michael Field, Dist. 214 Community Education; Marilyn Genther, Mount Prospect Public Library; Greg Minter, Prospect High School; Michael Janonis, Village of Mount Prospect; Ted Kasch, Illinois Education and Training center; and Vance Violante, River Trails Park District.

The Mount Prospect Chamber Board of Directors sets the agenda for the association of member businesses. Founded in 1928, its mission is to advance and promote the local business community through the delivery of quality services, effective communication and through the establishment of partnerships with individuals, community organizations, fellow chamber members and governmental bodies .
