Katie Dolan Dix, owner of Capannari Ice Cream, and Richard Sassan, CPA of B & E Accounting, will co-sponsor an After Hours Business Event for three local Chambers of Commerce at 5 p.m. on Sept. 15.  The event will take place at Capannari Ice Cream at 10 South Pine St. and feature catering from Dave’s Specialty Foods as well as raffle prizes from local businesses.

Businesses from the Des Plaines, Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect Chambers of Commerce will attend this event, which takes place at the beginning of Chamber Appreciation Week.  Members of the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association will also attend.

The after hours will feature a special surprise in honor of the beginning of Sassan’s fifth year as a member of the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce. He expects about 70 people to attend.

“This is really a great example of everyone coming together as one,” he said. “What a great opportunity to get big and small businesses together to network with each other.”

The Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce seeks to promote, support and enrich the local business community through the delivery of quality services, effective communication and through the establishment of partnerships with individuals, community organizations, fellow chamber members and governmental bodies.
