Chamber Holiday Luncheon to Feature Marketing Expert

The Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with local service clubs will present a “Chamber Holiday Luncheon” sponsored by American Charter Bank. Those clubs that will help to honor the local foundations and organizations for their service to the community are the Jaycees, Junior Women’s Club, Kiwanis, Lions, Loyal Order of Moose #660, Mount Prospect-Prospect Heights and Mount Prospect Sunrise Rotary Clubs of Mount Prospect. Invited organizations or foundations will be: American Cancer Society, CEDA Northwest, Chicago Turkish American Chamber of Commerce, Clearbrook Center, District 57 Education Foundation, District 214 Community Education Foundation, Lattof International YMCA, Mount Prospect Historical Society, Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center, Mount Prospect Library Foundation, Mount Prospect Parks Foundation, River Trails Education Foundation, Northwest Suburban United Way. The event will be held on December 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Victoria in the Park, 1700 S. Elmhurst Road. The luncheon is $30 for both Chamber members and the service club and foundation/organization attendees. The charge will be $50 for non-members. Members are encouraged to get their reservation in early.
Keynote speaker will be Jeff Scanlan, corporate image and marketing consultant. Jeff specializes in helping companies increase their exhibit booth traffic, capture more sales leads, and makes them the star of their trade show.
District 59 Superintendent, Dr. Daniel Schweers, will present the talented music students of District 59 to perform for the attendees. In addition, the Chamber will present awards for “Business Leader of the Year”, “Small Business of the Year”, and “Large Business of the Year” for going above and beyond the call of duty in supporting the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber will also vote in their Board of Directors for 2010 with current President Robert Koren, Northwest Community Hospital turning the gavel over to Michael Putz, Harnetech.
Members are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine’s “Toys for Tots” campaign.The holiday menu will feature the Victoria Chef’s holiday specialties with a specially created dessert that will surprise and delight everyone.
